Ornamental Rise

Ornamental Rise is a stunning ceramic bowl elevated on a footed base, fusing delicate latticework with masterful symmetry. Crafted entirely by hand using the traditional techniques of Gitterarbeit (lattice carving) and Prägung (embossing), the piece took two months to complete and was subjected to two distinct kiln firings—first at 900°C and then at 1080°C—to achieve its structural integrity and luminous glaze.

The rich green and deep cobalt-blue glazes harmonize to evoke both vitality and calm, while the pedestal form adds elegance and ceremonial presence. The intricate negative space throughout the body enhances light and shadow play, making this bowl a visual centerpiece from every angle.
