Offering to the Hidden Self
A ritual of concealment, surrender, and silent exchange.
Offering to the Hidden Self is a meditative visual narrative that blurs the line between myth and identity. On the left, a black figure with elongated threads flowing downward holds a large, featureless circular mask in front of its face. From its head, branch-like antlers emerge, hinting at transformation or a sacred connection with nature.
On the right, from behind softly painted vertical lines, a disembodied hand reaches forward, scattering what appears to be seeds, memories, or blessings into the space. The dialogue between these two figures — one hiding, one offering — evokes questions about what we give to ourselves, what we conceal from others, and what rituals keep us whole.
The entire work is wrapped in warm terracotta and cream tones that evoke earth, body, and silence. Minimal yet deeply metaphorical, this piece is ideal for collectors of symbolic contemporary art, especially those drawn to themes of inner worlds, feminine mythologies
