Guardians of Paradise

Guardians of Paradise is an 18 cm hand-crafted ceramic plate that merges ancient symbolism with Persian ornamental finesse. Two regal, stylized animals sit poised on either side of a geometric tree-of-life motif, while birds and floral elements encircle the scene in harmony. This miniature narrative is rendered using traditional Unterglasurmalerei (underglaze painting), Prägung (embossing), and the fine Zarinfam technique—a golden detailing method that evokes the splendor of Persian decorative arts.

With its earthy yellows, rich blues, and deliberate crackle glaze, the plate captures a timeless aesthetic. It functions both as a storytelling object and a visual talisman rooted in ancient cosmology.
