Return Policy for Artworks
Thank you for choosing our collection of unique and antique artworks. Each piece offered through our platform is either one-of-a-kind or produced under special conditions, often customized for the buyer. Therefore, returns are only accepted under very specific and limited circumstances. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.
1. General Non-Returnability of Artworks
In accordance with Section 18 of the Austrian Consumer Protection Act (Konsumentenschutzgesetz – KSchG), products that are custom-made, unique, antique, or digital in nature are exempt from the standard 14-day right of withdrawal for distance selling.
As such, all artworks sold through our platform are final sale and non-returnable, unless one of the exceptions outlined below applies.
2. Exceptions Allowing for Return
A return request may be considered only under the following exceptional conditions:

The buyer receives a different artwork than the one ordered.

The artwork arrives with significant damage caused during shipping (documented within 24 hours of delivery).

The delivered artwork differs substantially from the technical specifications listed on the website (e.g., incorrect dimensions, missing signature, or non-authentic item).
To qualify for review, the buyer must contact us within 24 hours of receiving the item, providing photo evidence of the artwork and packaging via our official email or contact form.
3. Conditions for Accepted Returns
If a return is approved, the following conditions must be met:

The artwork must be in its original condition, unused, and undamaged beyond the reported shipping issue.

It must be returned in original packaging, along with the invoice, certificates of authenticity, and any accompanying documentation.

The return must be shipped using a trackable and insured service.
Failure to meet these conditions may result in denial of the return request.
4. Refund Process
Once the returned item is received and inspected, and if approved, a refund will be issued within 7 to 14 business days via the original payment method.
Please note that initial shipping and return shipping costs are non-refundable and must be covered by the customer.
5. Non-Returnable Items
The following categories are strictly non-returnable:

Digital artworks or downloadable files

Custom-commissioned pieces, including any works created with specific requests (e.g., personalized signatures, framing, special formats)
6. Legal Basis
This policy is based on Articles 11–18 of the Austrian Consumer Protection Act (KSchG). Specifically, Section 18(1) outlines the exclusion of customized, perishable, or digital goods from standard return rights under EU consumer law.
